6.  Faith – name symbolizes his religious faith, his faith in God. Loss of one’s own faith will cause one to question other beliefs as well. Brown’s words – inner conflict.  “Say thy prayers, dear Faith, and go to bed at dusk, and no harm will come to thee.”  “Poor little faith!”  “Is there any reason why I should quit my dear faith, and go after her?”  “Faith kept me back awhile”
