1 1 Pixel Detector General –July 2005. Evidence of galvanic corrosion in EU barrel cooling tubes. Recovery plan implemented, this problem now solved but….. –April 2006. Many failures in custom cables for barrel(German design, Taiwan fabrication). Rigorous QC put in place at CERN. About 50% of cables useful, remake the rest. In progress. Barrel integration restarted. –Revised ATLAS schedule to push pixel installation as late as possible(April 2007). Schedule very tight. US Construction Deliverables –Deliverables and schedule revised to assist in barrel problems –Endcaps completed and delivered to CERN(May and August) –Supporting structures complete and most at CERN –Production of services subcomponents completed, assembly underway and about 40% shipped to CERN. –Shipments will be complete by December 2006.

2 2 Barrel Integration Restarted LINE B -HalfShell TopLINE A -HalfShell Bottom

3 3 Endcaps and System Test Pixel Services for System Test Fully assembled Endcaps delivered to CERN. Endcap C to be used in system(10%) test System Test Area in SR1
