Particularly the Lahn Dill area was shaped by mining industry.
From the early Middle Ages to the second half of 20th Century were this still the most important locations in completely Germany.

In principle one differentiates between two techniques:
Over days: The raw material is promoted by excavation to open pits.
Under days: Promotion by lugs underground put on or pits in the so-called mountains (mining industry).

9. Processing of Iron Ore
After promotion of the iron ores these are often already cleaned in the first stage of the processing.
Afterwards the large ore must be cut up.This work by cone or jaw crushers one settles.
After that the iron ore is separated over magnetic separators and converted to iron ore pellets.
