2 Magazines  A Magazine is a publication containing various articles by various authors. Articles extend from pop culture to news around the world.

3 Baltimore Magazines  Examples of such magazines are:  Baltimore Guide  Baltimore Alternative  Mic Life  Baltimore Jewish times  The Baltimore Magazine

4 Type of Information  The type of information magazines have any kinds of information you want to search for.  For example, news, media, lifestyles, hobbies, sports, self-help

5 Strengths  Strengths of magazines are that magazines are a quick way to read about subjects and to form opinions on certain issues.  Magazines are good to find out about recent events and things going on around your state

6 Weakness  Magazines are generally bias  Such a wide variety, that some magazines don’t have correct information  Magazines tend to release before all the information is obtained on a recent event

7 Relevant Information  Look at the table of contents to see if any headlines pertain to what you are looking for  One could skim through the magazine to look at things that they might want to read about

8 How authoritative are magazines  Since articles on certain events tend to be published just after they occur, when not all of the information on them is obtained, they tend to be somewhat inaccurate.  Some well known magazines such as Time, will have accurate information because they sometimes use primary sources

9 Reliable?  A particular Magazine could be reliable based off the author of the magazine.  Do the magazines writers have a history of being biased in their editorials?  Has the magazine been around for a long time to be popular and true

10 Some other uses?  Some other uses for magazines could be to acquire information on pop culture and entertainment purposes  Also to listen to people’s opinions on certain topics  If magazine articles that you read cite certain sources that you feel would be helpful, you can seek them out, as well.
