2. Tower of Babel What does all this mean? I don’t know. But speaking different languages doesn’t help to build a tower. According to the bible, a united humanity of the generations following the Great Flood, spoke a single language. When they came to the land of Shinar they decided to build a city with a tower "with its top in the heavens...lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the Earth." God came down to see what they did and said: "They are one people and have one language, and nothing will be withholden from them which they purpose to do." So God said, "Come, let us go down and confound ( 混淆 ) their speech." And so God scattered them upon the face of the Earth, and confused their languages, and they left off building the city, which was called Babel "because God there confounded the language of all the Earth.

4. A Competition Divide into four teams. The task is to build a paper tower with a water bottle at the top. The winner will be the team that can put the water bottle highest. Each team gets some newspaper, scissors, three rolls of tape and a water bottle. But you must only speak English And two judges will make sure you do.

5. The Competition Design phase.You should take a 10 minutes to figure out how to organize to do this. Draw a diagram. Discuss it with your group. Think about how much paper and tape you have. Don’t touch the paper. Think! Create a design. Reach an agreement. Production phase. When you are ready, start building the tower. Organise things so you work efficiently. Think about the division of labour you employ Think about how centralized the decision-making and coordination is. And Speak English!

6. Some Rules I just made up! 1.The tower must stand on the floor and have no other support. 2.To win it must stand for at least 10 seconds. 3. Judges. Each team must choose two "volunteers" to be judges of all the towers. -- and make sure nobody speaks Chinese. The judges can give extra credit for beauty.
