16 Dobyns-Bennett Spoken Word Performers amazed the judges at the Tri-Cities Poetry Slam Finals! Congratulations to Kelli Frawley the reigning Tri-Cities Poetry Slam Champion. Dawn Strobel came in a close second.

20 Awarded to MTSU bound high school seniors. Academic achievement, financial need, good work ethic, community outreach, and valuing education are taken into consideration. 21 MTSU Mechatronics Engineering Scholarship Award: $10,000 per year for 3 years and enhanced activities such as a trip to Berlin, Germany For: New freshman Mechatronics Engineering majors at MTSU, US Citizenship, full-time student, high school GPA 3.0 or better, ACT Math subscore 24 or better, demonstrate financial aid, willingness to participate in the MT cohort program. 35 Tickets will be on sale beginning Monday April 13th –Friday April 24th before and after school (ONLY) in the D-B Activities office. Tickets are $25.00 each and financial obligations to D-B and attendance will be verified before tickets will be sold.

36 D-B’S TARDY / ABSENCE POLICY REMINDER Please remember that participation in prom and graduation ceremony are tied directly to attendance. Students who accrue instances of tardiness or absenteeism greater than 10% of the time in any one class will be ineligible for these activities.

38 On April 16-19 the DBWG Varsity will travel to Dayton, OH to compete in the Winterguard International World Championships competing against guards from the U.S., Canada, the UK, Japan, the Netherlands, and beyond. The Varsity guard competes in the Scholastic A class with 123 competing teams. They perform at 9:48am in Prelims on Thursday April 16.
