8. A research plan You have your topic, now you need to figure out what it is you want to know about it. -Ask yourself, “What do I want to know about my topic?” -Now build your research off of that answer (meaning: look for sources that answer that question of what you want to know).

15. Outlining Your Report An outline is a plan for your report and shows how you are grouping the information you have gathered and the order in which you will present the information in your report. You will do this by listing major subtopics or categories of information related to your topic.
