3 When to Report l First regular report no later than 9:00 p.m. l Report Regular Results at least once every 2 until final l Final Results at completion of your semi- official canvass

5 Election Night Vote Reporting Menu Options l Election Night l Election Update l Unprocessed Ballots l SOV l SSOV l View Error Log

6 Select County l For each type of Vote Results entry, a County and Election must first be selected l Both fields are drop down boxes for easy selection

7 Election Night KDE Screen l Fields highlighted in blue are required –Precincts –Total Ballots l Enter vote counts in the New Votes field - TAB to each candidate

8 Keying Vote Results l Entering results are the same for any set of report type (Regl, Finl, Update, SOV, SSOV) –Enter Votes for every candidate –Move to the next contest. l Select Office/Contest from the drop down box OR Click on Next

9 Keying Results for Multiple County Districts l There are two additional required fields when entering vote results for Office/Contest that is a multiple-county contest –Precincts Reporting –with ballots cast

10 SAVING Vote Results l Click SAVE button before Closing!!! l NOTE: The system does not prompt you to save between contests.

11 Statement of Vote Reporting Menu l Required field is –Total l Enter results for each candidate, for each contest in same manner as Election Night Vote Results

12 Vote Results Menu l First, select View Error/Log File from main menu l Then, select County and Election l Each set of vote results will be represented as an entry –Automatic –KDE

13 Viewing Report Log/Errors l Select the entry l Log File and Raw Data options will then be enabled - click to select l No errors indicated by 0 l Any error indicated by 1

14 Sample of Log File l Log file will contain –Submission Date/Time –Total number of records –Size of file –Number of Errors

15 Viewing Raw Data File l First row contains –County Code –Type of vote results –Number of votes l Each record thereafter contains all pertinent data to report vote results for a candidate or ballot measure

16 Sample No Results Reported l If no results have been submitted yet, a -1 will be seen in the Errors column
