2 Junior League of Minneapolis Overview I felt uninformed about JLM happenings as a new member Background:  JLM is an association of women who work to improve the community through volunteer projects  JLM was founded in 1923  Almost 300 Junior Leagues in 4 countries

5 My Research Question “Do Junior League of Minneapolis members have a preference for how to receive communications from the league?”

6 Methodology Survey to all 253 members Internet based: 27 questions Questions included:  How they want information available  Which topics they want covered in each communication

7 Results Survey open from Jan. 25-March 10, 2007 Response rate: 58% (147 of 253)

15 Recommendations Use electronic communications (Avoid print and phone calls) Transition print newsletter to e-newsletter Announce upcoming meetings and volunteer opportunities via web (Preference for 1 month notice and two reminders)
