1 Calistoga Joint Unified School District Measure “A” Citizens’ Oversight Committee Meeting January 18, 2012

2 1 Program Progress The team is currently coordinating the design of the IT infrastructure with the District’s E-Rate and IT consultants Design and value engineering efforts continue. The team is working to ensure that the projects constructed are within the program budget Subcontractor outreach activities will continue. Blach Construction will be conducting an additional local subcontractor workshop to be scheduled for February or March The solar vendor has commenced work on the photovoltaic projects. The team is currently reviewing budgets and scopes of work The District successfully refinanced its older general obligation bonds to achieve taxpayer savings of about $230,000. The finance team successfully closed the transaction in late December 2011 The District and finance team completed a Measure “A” bond sale on January 4th providing approximately $8.5 million for the program. The transaction is scheduled to close by January 19th

4 3 The Look Ahead Continue value engineering efforts and finalize project scopes Submit plans to the Division of State Architect and CDE Continue subcontractor outreach efforts Begin the selection process for additional consultants pertaining to: Labor Compliance, DSA Inspections, Special Testing and Inspections, and a Soils Testing Lab Complete bond sale closing Begin construction in summer 2012
