1. Young Minds project Students may write an article anytime they like. Every Friday at 10am is the deadline for the following Tuesday stories. The story/article needs to be 400-500 words on one of the three topics AND include a picture (make sure there is an explanation of the picture or names of who is in it) correlating to the story/article. Everything can just be emailed to mkooken@exponent-telegram.com. mkooken@exponent-telegram.com Also please remind students that we are paying $25 for their article if it prints.

2. Young Minds project ACT Prep students We will be writing articles monthly or bi-monthly as a class project. These articles will be submitted to Mr. Turnbull for grading purposes and will be forwarded to the Clarksburg Exponent Telegram for publication. 3. Young Minds project Topics Student Life In this section the kids may write about anything going on in their lives, families lives or school life. As long as everything is appropriate I feel we should be pretty liberal with the topics in order to keep it interesting from week to week. Our School In Our School the kids can write about any school, not necessarily their own. We would like stories about Middle and Elementary school as well even though only High School kids will be doing the writing. Again as long as appropriate they can write about anything going on in the schools. My Favorite Teacher (Class or Coach) This can be about a current teacher, or one from their past that maybe positively impacted their life in a way that stuck with them. We are leaving the teacher, class or coach up to the kids, but please keep in mind that the nominees will be reviewed.
