To identify ways of funding the vision through our Chapters. To identify the rudiments of Chapter financing and efficient management To highlight and correct some common mistakes in Chapter Financing

The FGBMFI Vision Needs Money To Thrive Just like any organization Even more so because of the peculiarities of the Vision Our target audience is unique – made up of business people and professional - and requires unique and top quality methods that are expensive to deploy.

 Meeting Expenses  Chapter meetings, Outreaches  Meal functions, NGC, FTO, MPO, Voice Walk  Trainings, Seminars & Advances,  Conventions, ETC  Invitation cards, honorarium, Literature  Staff salaries, Office & Hall rentals, equipment, supplies, etc

When men’s lives are being touched, God will touch men’s pockets. When you expect an increase and set targets, you are inviting God to act Quality membership growth leads to improved funding Operating your chapter according to the Book Targeting the right audience – business people & professionals engaged in productive work

Obedience to God’s pattern and faithfulness in carrying out a divine project attracts divine funding (1Cor 3:10-14) Transparency through monthly business meetings & monthly statements of accounts. For every divine Vision there is a ProVision ( 1Cor. 9:7; Jonah 1:3; 1 John 5:4)

Share your vision & need for finance enthusiastically with your men Integrate your men into the life of the chapter. When they are involved, they have a buy-in, and they give Be a visionary leader. Vision draws people & finance Have a quarterly financial plan and sell it to your chapter

Share your testimonies of God’s blessing through giving Follow up on the pledges through friendly reminders Teach your Men to accept their shareholding in this work and to give to it Encourage members to pledge towards chapter projects and activities

Teach Members that Giving is an Act of Worship (Mal 3:8-10; Pr 3:9-10) Teach them to see giving a key to Divine intervention and access to God’s unlimited resources (2 Chr. 1: 6-12) Care for your people. Pray for their businesses. Prophesy over their lives. Teach them the Benefits of Kingdom Investments: as an insurance against the devourer (Mal 3: 11)

Handing chapter finances on ad-hoc basis Running chapter finances as a one-man- show Carrying excessive financial baggage by offering free meals or taking care of members’ welfare at the expense of the operations Costly but ineffective programmes Hiding chapter finances from members

Offerings Pledges and Donations Specific sponsoring of events Meals income (Amount above actual payment) Sale of Literatures Membership Registration(40% )

Develop Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Budgets Prayerfully present the budget to members in a business meeting or a special meal function meeting Encourage members to pledge a specific sum or take a specific item in the list i.e. Hall rentals, Sponsoring quarterly outreaches)

Presentation of chapter needs must be positive and exciting Maximize chapter offering Discover the “special givers” God has sent to the Chapter and encourage them to become part of the life of the chapter Depend on the Holy Spirit

 Open a bank account, with 3 signatories (at least, two to sign) Stewardship is Key in FGBMFI (Lk 16 1-2)  As much as possible, make payments by cheques  Conduct monthly reconciliation: - Follow up on Bank Statements - Reconcile the Balances with the chapter records  Conduct monthly reconciliation: - Follow up on Bank Statements - Reconcile the Balances with the chapter records

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom…” Lk 6:8 Faithfulness in Remittances to National, District, Zone & Area will activate Gods Blessings. This same Principle works in both Personal and Chapter Finances.

So, pay your tithe to the National Office. Pay your Membership Remittance - 60% of Dues Pay your Chapter Levies—Convention and other Programmes Tithe is the 10% of all Chapter Incomes, except Membership Dues and other Indirect Payments to the Chapter (eg Members’ Donations to the National Office)

“It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation” Pro. 24:3 (MSG) Your Chapter Finances will become Stronger through the day to day Application of Wisdom under the Holy Spirit
