3 3 CWPPRA Background Act passed – 1990 Funded through Dingell-Johnson Sport Fish Restoration Act Amendment (PL 106-408) CWPPRA extended until 2019, under the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2005 CWPPRA dedicated approximately $76 million to wetland restoration projects in Louisiana in FY08

4 4 CWPPRA Track Record  142 active projects since 1991  81 projects completed – $417.76M; 76,804 acres benefited (120mi 2 )  14 projects under/approved for construction  5 projects ($126M) “ready to construct” but unfunded  41 projects under development (E&D)  Total cost of all projects (PPLs 1-17) - $812.94M
