1. How to review a proof This is a simple guide to using ProofHQ to review and make a decision on a proof. Ready to review your first proof?

2. Viewing the proof 1.Open the email letting you know that you have a new proof to review. 2.Click on the blue “Go to proof” link*. *NOTE: Clicking on the “Go to proof” link in your email will launch your web browser and open the proof in a new browser window, called the Proof Page.

3. Adding comments and mark-up 1. To add a comment or mark-up, click the “Add Comment” button. 2. Type your comment into the comments box and/or add mark-up.

4. Adding comments and mark-up 3. Mark-up tools: Use the Rectangle tool to draw a box. Use the Pencil tool to draw freehand. Use the Arrow tool to call something out. Use the Line tool to draw straight lines. Use the Marker to draw a shaded box. Use the Crop tool to indicate a trim area. Change Colour, Thickness, or Delete markups. 4. Click the green “Save” button when finished.

5. Reading and replying to comments 1. If necessary, click the tab to open the Sidebar. 2. In the Comment list, click on the comment you wish to view.

6. Reading and replying to comments 3. To navigate multiple comments: Click the right/left arrows in the Comment window to view the next or previous comment. 4. Click and type in the text field in the Comment window to reply to a comment. 5. Click the green “Save” button when finished.

7. Submitting your decision 1. Click on the green “Submit Decision” button. 2. In the Submit Decision box, click on the appropriate option*. You’re done! *NOTE: To receive an email confirmation of your decision, be sure to check the box before clicking on your decision.
