Simple Scheduling, Gradebook & Report Card Overview
2
Introduction Driving Forces behind the SN Gradebook Project
“Why we are doing this ????” New Report Cards Initiative of Dr. Ackerman and the T& L office New Curriculum alignment Compliance Reporting PIMS State Reporting / HQT Certification Compliance Centralization and integration of Systems and Services Consolidate data collection systems TRA / TCA / K-8 Report Card System / Schoolnet Better tools for teachers Teachers have been asking for a Gradebook system for years Many schools already use their own
3
Old to New There are many similarities between the way we used to do report cards and the new Gradebook way. Many ‘concepts’ remain the same - you will just be doing them differently now! Teacher-Room Assignment (TRA) Teacher-Course Assignment (TCA) Online Grading Subject Marks * Co-Teacher Assignment Comments * Special Education Assignments Corrections Spanish Report Cards Some things are also new and/or different 4 reporting cycles / no specific Correction Cycle New curricula areas to grade (ex. 21st Century Skills) Effort and Behavior marks Co-teacher appears on the report card, but only one user can have access to each subject. Can split between subjects if desired.
