3 What does the phrase, “technology integration” mean to you? Ms. Holcomb says… Tool incorporated into the classroom Used as an effective tool to help students learn

4 How should technology be used in education? Ms. Holcomb says… Help enhance student learning Big part of students’ lives in the future Important to teach them how to use it early on

5 Are you happy with the level of technology use at your school? Why or why not? Ms. Holcomb says… ActivBoards in most classrooms Using the ActivBoard: - access materials on internet - access interactive instructional material Students go to the computer lab once a wee Need more computers in classrooms

6 Can you provide any recommendations to improve access to and use of technology in your local classroom? Ms. Holcomb says… More computers in classrooms ELMOs

7 Can you describe a good example of a lesson that uses technology? Ms. Holcomb says… Computers to take AR tests ActivBoard for lesson on patterns

8 If you were the teacher, how would you use technology in the classroom? Ms. Holcomb says… Similar to the use implemented in daughter’s classroom Virtual manipulatives on ActivBoard and computers to provide “hands on” experience while incorporating technology

9 What technologies are missing from your school? How would these help education? Ms. Holcomb says… More Computers Save teachers prep time; use ELMOs instead of recreating student work

10 “BLOPERS” During the interview, I had the interview questions projected on the ActivBoard. While saving the bloopers, I heard Ms. Holcomb erupt into laughter because I had saved the bloopers as “blopers.”
