Reflected Light in Video The amount of light reflected off a subject determines its contrast, the difference between the brightest and darkest part of a scene. –Not enough reflected light produces a greyish picture –Too much reflected light looses the details in the lightest and darkest parts of the picture making the picture appear too harsh
