There may be different (informal) types of engagement – MGD uptake only, capacity building support, data supply and processing support. The latter will require identification of a suitable sponsor agency to fund the data aspects. Oct first draft Rationalise the National Demonstrators. Contact all existing NDs and invite them to be recognised formally as participating countries in GFOI. Previous ad-hoc PD arrangements for interacting with participating countries will be superseded by the intergovernmental mechanisms proposed for GFOI. Existing PD teams may continue to have a role where formally supported by GFOI countries. ASAP (Aus/Norway/USA) Establish pathways for supply and processing of data for participating countries. Evaluate public good and other data sources against long term plans for providing participating countries with data and processing support and plan accordingly while exploring potential additional sources of support.
