1 ♦ National Delta Tau Alpha newsletter ♦ August/September 2004 ♦ Meet your Midwestern Region Vice President My name is Aaron Archer. I graduated from Greene Co. Tech H.S. in Paragould, Arkansas in May 2001. I am currently attending college at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. My college career began in the Fall of 2000 when I decided to enroll in college courses while I was still in high school. While in high school, I was a teacher assistant. I feel this sparked my interest in the teaching profession. It did not take me very long in college to decide to major in Agriculture Education. This field of study just felt right for me. While in high school, I became interested in raising and showing livestock on many different levels. I learned many things about animals both in and out of the classroom. My hobbies include golfing, hunting, fishing, scuba diving and breeding livestock. These hobbies have become very useful in my chosen field of study. Many fields interest me, but agriculture seems to be in my heart.. I feel that my background in academics combined with my personal strengths and experiences in agriculture places me in a position to improve education and demonstrate how exciting and relevant the field of agriculture can be. I will be student teaching in the Fall of 2004. I plan to be employed and continue my educational journey by adding a masters and doctoral degree to my accomplishments. I believe these attributes can only help me serve you better as your Midwestern Region Vice- President.
