3 Context of Appraisal in AISD Using statewide PDAS evaluation system 1 out of 5 teachers receives a perfect evaluation 0 out of 8 Domains tied to teacher-level student performance In the past, approximately one-third of teachers evaluated each year because of waivers General agreement that the PDAS system was not tied to district definition of best practice and not directly tied to improvement efforts 3 Austin ISD CGCS 2011 www.austinisd.org, (512) 414-1700
