2 Kihyeon Cho Abstract Since LHC turns on and Belle II is approved, there have been rich for hot topics on heavy flavor physics experiments. In this paper, we will compare theories and experiments (Belle/Belle II, CDF and LHCb) on heavy flavor physics. We also show the activities at KISTI. In addition, we consider the meaning of heavy flavor physics during LHC era. 2

9 Kihyeon Cho 9 CP violation on Bs-> J/psi @CDF Analyzed 5.2 fb -1 Including new trigger (TTT) => adds 25% more data New analysis => cross-check Optimized data selection => more data than just from multiplying with the increase in luminosity. Untagged analysis in progress with TTT and comparing with Dimuons J/Ψ→ μμ from TTT sample Bs→J/Ψφ from TTT sample 6500 events from dimuon sample now => Dr. YoungJin Kim’s presentation

10 Kihyeon Cho 10 We used dimension-6 four quark operators with all the possible Dirac and color structures. We considered the s-, t- and u- channel exchanges of spin-0 and spin-1 particles whose color quantum number is either singlet, octet, triplet or sextet. Our results encode the necessary conditions for the underlying new physics in a compact and an effective way when those new particles are too heavy to be produced at the Tevatron. FB asymmetry @ Tevatron Model independent analysis S.-h Nam. et.al, PLB 691, 238 (2010) The region in (C1,C2) plane that is consistent with the Tevatron data at the one sigma level.

11 Kihyeon Cho Flavor physics in the LHC era LHC (High P T )  A unique effort toward the high-energy frontier to determine the energy scale of NP. Flavor physics  A Collective effort toward the high-intensity frontier to determine the flavor structure of NP. 11

12 Kihyeon Cho There are a few interesting results from the heavy flavor physics experiments indicating hints of something unknown… Penguin decays CP Violation and mixing Top forward-backward asymmetry NP or not-NP, we do not have clear understanding, yet. Therefore we, HEP team at KISTI, continue working on heavy flavor physics for both theory and experiment in the LHC era. 12 Summary
