Parts of Speech Conjunctions and Interjections

2 Conjunctions Is a word that joins words or groups of words in a sentence. Common Conjunctions: and, but, or, either, neither, nor, when, because, so, then, while Ex: You either have to use blue or blew in the sentence.

3 Interjections Is a word of group of words that expresses strong feelings. An interjection that expresses a very strong feeling may stand alone, either before or after a sentence. These interjections are followed by an exclamation point. Ex: Oh, no! I wrote horse instead of hoarse.

4 An interjection that expresses a milder feeling will appear as part of the sentence. In this case it is separated from the rest of the sentence by a comma. Ex: Oh, I thought you were talking about something else.
