9. Information Revolution / the Internet Information Revolution (Internet): Comcast, Time Warner and Cox Communications provide a majority of the cable broadband subscribers. The United States has over 67.7 million people subscribed to the top broadband providers, which account for 94% of the market. The 2009 Stimulus Bill, as it is commonly termed, was enacted by the 111th United States Congress and signed into law by President Barrack Obama on February 17, 2009. This bill provides money to create the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program through the National Telecommunications and Information Administration within the Department of Commerce.

The most tangible thing we have is the strongest military in the world, but I believe our greatest strength is our freedom. Our freedom of thought has led to the ideas for some of the most useful engineering ideas that make our lives safe, simple and fun.

11. Outsourcing / G8 & G20 Outsourcing / G8 & G20 The USA outsources many things from India and China such as electronics, clothing and toys. The USA were initial members of the G8 and the G20. The G20 summit had meetings in the USA on 11/18/2008 in Washington, DC and on 9/3/09 in Pittsburgh, PA. The USA has hosted G8 summits in Houston, Williamsburg and Denver.

Information Revolution / the Internet China is working on Developing CNGI (China ’ s Next Generation Internet), which is a five year plan initiated by the Chinese government with the purpose of gaining a significant position in the future development of the Internet through the early adoption of IPv6 (the next generation of computer language).

14. Information Revolution / Globalization Information Revolution: There has been a great increase in Indian content on the Internet. Many net entrepreneurs have been quick to realize the huge potential of the global market in India, and have made strides in online sales. Globalization: India has influenced the world in numerous ways. Some of the more well known are the Bollywood movies, the most famous being Slumdog Millionaire. Also the majority of the telephone computer assistants you speak to are Indian.

Outsourcing / G8 & G20 Outsource: India exports many things to the USA such as cotton products/fabrics for clothing, jewelry (diamonds are the most commonly exported), and also things like medicinal, dental and pharmaceutical preparations. However, design and direction for these products comes from the USA. The G8/G20: India is very similar to China in terms of G8 and G20. They are not a member of G8, and they were the chair country of the G20 in 2002.
