1  As technology has advanced throughout time, numerous questions have risen as to whether or not it has any effect on human development in general.  In a study of over 50 years of data, many cases of parents, physicians, and educators explicitly stating concerns of an impact on the development of children who watch television were examined, and it was proven that continuous viewing of television has a significant impact on the development of children (Pecora, Murray, & Wartella, 2006).  The current study investigated if there are any significant effects on a person’s relational and interpersonal experiences resulting from continuous use of technology as a method of communication.  Any time people are more comfortable or more frequently using technology as a method of communication as opposed to verbal conversation, interpersonal social communication weakens, and may in theory, diminish completely across humanity over time.  Participants were 92 Undergraduate Students from California State University, Northridge.  The participants were presented with a survey containing fifteen questions created to evaluate participant’s comfort with technological communication, comfort with interpersonal communication, frequency of technological communication, and frequency of interpersonal communication.  The survey was original to this study and was generated with questions and subject matter pertaining to that of an average college student.  Hypothesis: There is an impact on social life, ability to communicate verbally person-to-person, and social development from frequent use of technology as a method of communication Pecora, N.
