6 Certification vs. License ARRT – National certification R.T. – Must take an exam Pass with 75% – Can take this after completing program CRT – State Licensing – Must pass ARRT exam to get this – Pay fee to get radiography license (R) – Take fluoroscopy exam and pay a fee for (F) license

8 Radiologic Technologist ECC program is for an entry level into the profession Radiation Therapy and Nuclear Medicine would require additional education Certification/licenses ARRT- American Registry of Radiologic Technologies – Provides national certification CRT-- California Registered Technologist – After completing ARRT exam you pay a fee and get your California license to practice – A separate test is taken for fluoroscopy

9 ECC’s Program 2 year Associates Degree Program – Not including prerequisites – Starts last week of August and completes mid October – approximately 26 months, can change depending …… 2-3 courses on campus each semester and 24 – 35 hours per week of internship training in the affiliated hospitals per semester

10 Upon Graduation from ECC Associates Degree in Science Certificate of Completion from an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program - Accredited by JRCERT ARRT Approved
