Phased Review - Lessons Learned Continual communication between OSHPD, contract reviewers and designers is essential in segmented review Coordination between disciplines on the design team is essential –Continuously updating team on changes in the design Submit long lead reviews, i.e. geotech reports, design criteria, AMC, material testing reports, etc., far in advance of plan review submittals

More Lessons Learned Deciding what to put into each increment is key –Including “unique” items may shift focus from major portions of the work Use every tool in the box –Reminders and checklists –Review FAQs, PINs & CANs Flexibility by all parties is essential in resolving schedule conflicts and design changes
