3 Intelligent Database Systems Lab N.Y.U.S.T. I. M. 3 Motivation  ViSOM requires a large amount of neurons in the network to effectively represent the data.  But ViSOM suffer from dead neuron problem.

4 Intelligent Database Systems Lab N.Y.U.S.T. I. M. 4 Objectives  To propose a modified Adaptive Coordinate (AC) approach is hybridised with ViSOM to address the above-mentioned issues.  The basic idea of AC approach is to mirror the movements and locations in the SOM projecting activity.
