3 Today, all Oakland Catholic students will have an opportunity to visit with representatives from PA Catholic Colleges. Freshman 12:30 – 12:50 Sophomores 12:55 – 1:15 Juniors 1:20 – 1:55 Seniors 2:10 – 2:33 Please report to the AUX Gym at your assigned time.

5 Attention, Seniors and Juniors You will NOT be admitted to a college visit without a signed pass. If you registered on Naviance and did not get a pass, please come to the Guidance Office asap. You will not be admitted to any college visit without a pass signed by your teacher.

8 Volleyball News The JV and Varsity teams defeated Plum last night. This brings their section record to 4-0. The team takes on McKeesport at home Thursday. Good luck girls. 10 Interested in joining the OC Computer Club We will have a meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 2:45 pm in Room J202 If you can’t make the meeting see Ms. White or Mrs. Maxwell

11 Latin Club will meet this Thursday, September 19 after school in room 213. You do not have to be taking Latin to join. For more information see either Ms. Day or Abby Annear.

13 Chinese Club Chinese club will be having its first meeting on Thursday, September 19 in Room G15. Come and learn about and celebrate the Moon Festival with your peers and try yummy moon cakes. Free food is always a good reason to come to a meeting. Thee meeting will be held until 3:00 We will share ideas and discuss possibilities for future events. Anyone can join; there is no need to know how to speak Chinese!

14 Attention: Current NHS members There will be a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 2:45 in the Lecture Hall. We will be discussing member responsibilities, community service, and a few other changes.

17 Attention Basketball Team Open Gym scheduled on Wednesday 9/18 and Track Workout scheduled on Thursday, 9/19 have been canceled this week.

18 This coming Thursday, September 19th, there will be an important informational meeting in the Lecture Hall for all those who want to volunteer for INSPIRE. The meeting will begin at 3:00. 19 Congratulations to Victoria Albacete and Maria Navarro! They have been selected as 2013-2014 National Hispanic Scholars. This is an important academic achievement as this award is based on their PSAT scores and their cumulative GPA.

20 The 47th Annual Duquesne University College Fair will be held at the A.J. Palumbo Center on Sunday, October 13th from 1PM to 3PM Over 150 colleges and universities will be in attendance. This is a great way to meet with representatives from a variety of schools No registration is required.
