3 ORANGE COUNTY BUSINESS COUNCIL Cal State University Fullerton: Business Expectations Index Cal State University Fullerton: Business Expectations Index Source: Cal State University Fullerton An index rating over 50 indicates higher confidence in the OC economy from executives. The Q3 2013 score of 93.9 is the highest rating achieved since July 2004.

Orange County has maintained a manufacturing index of above 50 for the past four years.

Consumer sentiment has been above 90 since Q3 2012, but has not surpassed 100 in 2013 for the state.

Though the future conditions index fell below 100 in Q3 2013, the current conditions index has been trending upward since its last significant low in Q4 2011.
