2  Q: What is a Copyright?  A: A law that protects your control over the creative work you make so that people must get your permission before they copy, share, or perform your work.  Q: What is Fair Use?  A: The ability to use copyrighted work without permission, but only in certain ways and in specific situations  Q: What is Creative Commons?  A: A kind of copyright that makes it easier for people to copy, share, and build on other’s creative work, as long as they give the creator credit for it.

4  Review Student Handout  To Be Considered “Fair Use”, it has to: 1. Use a Small Amount of the original work 2. Rework and Reuse in a Different Way 3. Use for Non-Profit (can’t make money off of it) 4. Add New Meaning to the original work
