All rights reserved. 6 Configuration Data vs. Transaction Data Configuration - settings or rules that govern how the system works, how transactional information is processed. –Enterprise level vs. Cache level –One-time setup –Long Term –Catalog data, cache layout, security rules Transaction – data that flows through the system, normally associated with a lifecycle –New data frequently generated –Short-term –Incidents, issues, returns, billing

All rights reserved. 7 Incident Issue Life Cycle Issue is entered into the ICBS ICBS user determines quantity to be shipped Issue is ‘released’ to the floor Inventory picked and packed into a shipment Shipment is shipped ICBS user confirms shipment shipped in ICBS

All rights reserved. 8 Purchase Order Life Cycle Supplies are ordered from a Vendor or Supplier Shipment arrives at the cache Cache worker receives the shipment It can be received using the scan device or it can be received at the console. Receipt is closed Supplies are ‘put away’ in the cache

All rights reserved. 9 Return Life Cycle Return arrives at the cache Material (s) are sorted and prepared for receipt Cache Worker receives material (s) It can be received using the scan device (this process will be implemented in a later release) or it can be received at the console. When all materials are recorded, receipt is closed Disposition is determined Putaway begins

For our purposes we can equate that to the Kitting and Dekitting functions. Work order is created in ICBS to kit or dekit Work order is ‘released’ to the floor – kitting batch sheet prints Item (s) retrieved/gathered to the VAS station. This is a virtual and/or physical location. Move tasks are generated and are completed via the scan gun. VAS activity is performed (items are packed) and confirmed via the console. Putaway tasks are generated for the kit or items and completed via the scan gun
