2. Homework In each province’s Department of Education website there is little to no strong statements or guidelines on the use of homework. Guidelines on the amount of homework should be established in the curriculum documents and contain strong and clear supporting examples on different types of homework that should be assigned for mathematics.

3. Homework Currently the NCTM lays out tips and ideas for homework in the classroom on their website and is a very valuable resource for teachers. Teachers need to have a consistent homework policy and guidelines to follow to allow students and parents to know what is expected of their child.

4. Resources Each province’s Department of Education website sets out an exhaustive list of books and resources for teachers to use in the classroom to support the delivery of the curriculum content.

5. Resources Resource lists for 4 different provinces can be found on attached document. They contain supplementary resources such as; teacher guides, text questions banks, blackline masters, extra practice questions, math activities, games and other resources.
