Meter Definition: Meter- unit of length in the Metric System Examples of words including this Root Word: 1.Kilometer- A unit of length equal to one thousand meters. 2.Centimeter- A unit of length equal to one hundredth of a meter. A diagram of a Kilometer Centimeter

Mono Definition: Mono- alone, single, or one in number Examples of words with Root Word: 1.Monotone- A continuing sound that stays at one pitch. 2.Mononucleosis- A common infectious disease usually affecting young people, caused by the Epstein-Barr virus and characterized by fever, sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, and fatigue.
