1 Scalable Many-field Packet Classification on Multi-core Processors Authors : Yun R. Qu, Shijie Zhou, Viktor K. Prasanna Publisher : International Symposium on Computer Architecture and High Performance Computing Presenter : Kai-Hsun Li Date : 2014/12/10 Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan R.O.C.

2 Introduction A recent trend in packet classification is to match a large number of packet header fields. Another trend in packet classification is to use software-based solutions employing multi-core general purpose processors and virtual machines. In this paper, propose a decomposition-based packet classification approach. National Cheng Kung University CSIE Computer & Internet Architecture Lab 2
