7 Red Shift and Blue Shift…… Stars/Galaxies?… Go Red !

8 The wavelength of light emitted by stars and galaxies is “shifted” toward red. By applying our knowledge of the Doppler Effect, we can conclude that objects in the Universe are moving away from each other. This red shift helps support the Big Bang Theory which suggests the Universe is expanding from a single explosive event billions of years ago.
