2 Section 319 Funding  EPA provides funds to the state and state administers.  All projects have a 25% match requirement.  Centennial grant funds are sometimes used for the matching portion.  Any combination match (cash or in-kind):  Up to $250,000 grant award.  Cash only match:  More than 250,000 in grant funding up to $500,000.

3 State Revolving Fund (SRF)  ~$80 million per year  Federal loan program  Now with forgivable principal  Funded through:  Federal capitalization grants  20% State grant match  Repaid principal and interest  De-obligated (unused) funds from prior years  Funds a variety of facilities and activities projects

4 Centennial Clean Water Funds (CCWF)  ~$10-15 million per year  State grant program  Funded through the State Building Construction Account or State Toxics Account  Funds a variety of facilities and activities projects

5  Groundwater protection  Agricultural BMP Implementation  Water Quality Monitoring  Watershed Planning  On-Site Septic Outreach and Education  Public Outreach and Education

6  Public Participation Grants  Funds for non-profit public interest groups  Waste Management Projects encourage people to become involved in eliminating and reducing waste  Coastal Protection Fund (Husseman Acct)  Funded with payments from penalties issued for WQ violations  Municipalities, other agencies, local governments, federally recognized tribal nations or entities can apply  EPA CARE Program  Helps communities address multiple sources of toxic pollution

7  EPA Smart Growth Technical Assistance  Annual, competitive solicitation open to state, local, regional, and tribal governments (and non-profits that have partnered with a governmental entity) that want to incorporate smart growth techniques into their future development.  EPA Pollution Prevention Grant  supports State and Tribal technical assistance programs which help businesses identify better environmental strategies and solutions for reducing or eliminating waste at the source  Tribal Assistance Sources
