Use a slopped surface so rain water will not sit in giant puddles in your camp Be by a reliable water source such as a lake or river(Not puddles or small streams, they may not stay there in a drought!!)

For a shelter build a Teepee or a lean to shelter. IF you are in the winter time use a lot of leaves to keep your shelter insolated. Snow fall will also create extra insolation

You can eat various roots, animals, and plants. If you don’t know what a certain berry or root is, DO NOT EAT IT!! You can also set-up a simple trap with a bit of know berries or an egg corn with a rock and a stick to catch a rabbit or squirrel.

Some plant life in New Jersey Can include Oak trees and a thicket of ferns. Oak trees can be useful for their leaves. Leaves can be important for their flammability. A thicket for ferns can be useful for setting up a shelter or for being concealed.

Animal life can include deer and squirrels. For deer you can dig a hole with a sharpened stick. Sharpen them with a sharp rock and place them at the bottom of the pit and conceal it with some sticks and leaves.( NOTE: place a land mark around your trap so you don’t harm your-self!) For squirrels you can set-up a simple snare trap.

Medicines: Marigold- Can be used to stop infection. Burdock root: Can be used for rat bites and sooth pain. Juniper Berries: Can help with stomach pains. Feverfew: can lower fever. Yarrow: can expel poison from the body and stop infection. Thyme: can help with shock from freezing water.
