1 Technology Leadership Team Team Members: Allison Kostiuk, Barry Tremblay, Bob Wilson, Darryl Turner, Dave Hlady, Ed Main, Jason Effa, Kyler Gauthier, Mike Archibald, Nadine Korven, Paul Carriere, Sean Cameron, Steve Bentley, Steve Wyer, Tom Martin, and Troy Rad Updates: Team has completed two teleconference meetings: January 29 and February 23. Defined the purpose and role of the Technology Leadership Team Steering Committee to provide voice and direction for technology use in the district Work with technology department to identify priorities and district needs Help identify new technology opportunities and possibilities Work with technology department to develop yearly plan and long term plan (5 year) Provide support with the implementation of new technology and initiatives Provide representation for staff across the district ensuring everyone has equal access and opportunity to utilize technology

2 Created and distributed a School Technology Survey to all schools in district Survey will collect information from schools outlining how they are using technology, how they want to use technology, technology use they are proud of, and barriers to productive technology use. Schools using the survey as guide for technology conversations completing the survey as an entire school submitting a single survey Survey results will be reviewed and used for planning at the onsite Tech Leadership Team meeting scheduled for May 4 Survey results will also be shared with IBM review team as they are submitted

3 IBM Review Project Update District completed IT Optimization Assessment Questionnaire and submitted results to IBM District Information IT Department & Support Structure Data Centre & Server Rooms Server Infrastructure Storage & Backup Infrastructure Processes and Procedures Network & Telephony Infrastructure Enterprise Applications & Services Client & End-user Devices Infrastructure Sharing School Technology Survey results with IBM as they are collected District has submitted a preliminary list of stakeholders to be interviewed during the onsite visits. Completing a phone consolation with IBM March 13 th Onsite visits being scheduled to begin early April 2015

4 MyEducationBC Update Core Implementation Team: Clint Dolgopol, Becky Rousseau, Tanya Hatalcik, Mike Archibald, Penny Brown, and Sean Cameron Updates: District completed the Boot Camp training session provided by Fujitsu consulting Feb 24, 25, 26 Core Implementation team members and senior management have accounts created in training database Project updates being included in Learning Leadership Report and distributed to all staff using SD 6 email distribution SD 6 will dividing the implementation of MyEducationBC into two groups. The first group of schools will be the three secondary schools and Rocky Mountain DL. These schools will have their data converted during the summer and will begin using the new system September 2015. Go Live date for these schools will be August 24 th 2015. The remaining schools in the district including all elementary and strong start centres will be in the second group. These schools will have their data converted during the winter break in December 2015 and will begin using the new system January 2016.

5 SD 6 Conversion Schedule

6 District is scheduled for online “Train the Trainer” Training provided by Fujitsu April 7, 8, 9, 20, 22, 27, and 29 Creating District Advisory Groups: School Administration, Student Services, Office Administration, Scheduling / Counseling, Data Collection / Reporting, and Classroom Teachers Office Administration Team: Becky Rousseau, Judy Dow, Lee Barker, Melissa Altmann, and Shawna Migneault Starting planning with this group as they are key school staff to support the implementation and use of the SIS Three webinars with open conversations will be offered to all SD 6 staff so they can have the opportunity to see system and ask questions Training sessions for all staff will begin for all staff after April 7
