DATA – two types QUALITATIVE: Data that is categorical QUANTITATIVE: Data that is numeric

Qualitative Data It refers to observations that are attributes or characteristics. Examples: Hair color, eye color, religion, blood type

Quantitative Data It represents observations or measurements that are numerical. Examples: age, weight, height

Quantitative Data Data that is a COUNT, is called DISCRETE Numerical Data. Data that is a MEASUREMENT, is called CONTINUOUS Numerical Data.

Identify as discrete or continuous. 1) Attendance at the UD football games. 2) Number of girls you have on your contact list. 3) Your weight. 4) Your age. DISCRETE CONTINUOUS
