3 Prepositional Phrases- are phrases that usually begin with a preposition Example: We took a long walk by the beach I ate lunch after watching TV.

4 Combining Sentences with prepositional phrases 1.Read the sentences 2.Identify the prepositional phrase 3.Combine sentenced by placing the prepositional phrase at the beginning of the sentence or at the end of the sentence 4.Use a comma if the prepositional phrase is at the beginning of the sentence. I want to plant tomatoes. I want to plant them in the spring time. In the spring time, I want to plant tomatoes. or I want to plant tomatoes in the spring time. Do not place a comma if the phrase is at the end of the sentence
