A Worthy Mother Matthew 15:21-28

She Went To The Right Source Matthew 15:21-22 Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed."

Because of what she had heard. Driven by the greatness of her need. She Knows He is the Savior. The Right Source "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David!

She Would Not Give Up Easily Matthew 15:23-24 But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, "Send her away, for she cries out after us." But He answered and said, "I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

"...answered her not a word.“ Disciples wanted Him to send her away. Would Not Give Up "I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Matthew 14:15 When it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, "This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food."

She Was Persistent Matthew 15:25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, "Lord, help me!"

She continued to honor Him. Her cry is from one who has no one else. A worthy mother never gives up on her child. She Was Persistent "Help me"

She Accepted What He Said Matthew 15:26-27 But He answered and said, "It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs." And she said, "Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters' table."

She Accepted What He Said “It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs.” “It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs.” She does not argue or quarrel. The priority was the Jews over the Gentiles "And she said, 'Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.'" "And she said, 'Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.'"

Her Great Faith Was Rewarded Matthew 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, "O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

Her Great Faith Was Rewarded "O woman, great is your faith! Faith is always rewarded. Faith is always rewarded. Jesus proclaims her great faith. Jesus proclaims her great faith. Let it be to you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

Just As The Worthy Mother… Seek the right person. Do not give up. Be persistent. Accept what He says. Remember faith always has a reward.
