2 It has been 25 years since the best days of our lives… …our high school life in Don Bosco. BACKGROUND

3 It was the era of Annie Batungbakal, the Hagibis, and Vilma loves Bobot. It was also the time of the high pitched Bee Gees and John Travolta. CONCEPT Don Bosco Batch ‘81

4 Now, let us make our presence felt again in these hallowed walls… Let us show them that we had been… And that the same school spirit still lives within each of us… CONCEPT

5 Staying Alive is a grand reunion sponsored by Batch 81 in celebration of their 25 years since their graduation from Don Bosco. The main festivities will be held on the 21 st of January but will be preceded by mini-events on the 7 th and 14 th of January. The mini-activities will highlight other aspects of the Bosconian’s life and will be focused on building relationships within the Bosconian community and among the members of Batch 81. CONCEPT

6 Suggested Activities for Jan 7, 2006 Staying Alive…through sports. Batch 81 Badminton Tournament Features mixed doubles (with member’s wife) or Men’s doubles (with another member of the batch) Interclass Basketball 1-Day League Relive your high school heyday! Form your old teams and rekindle old high school rivalries. ACTIVITIES Optional: Golf Tournament Pair up with other members of the batch and go head-to-head in a charity skins match. All fees from these activities go to the Batch 81 Scholarship Fund. Prior donations by generous members will be used to pay for the venue and defray other expenses.

7 Suggested Activities for Jan 14, 2006 Staying Alive…in the community. “Bridge to the Future” Program Members of Batch 81 conduct a symposium for the new grads of Don Bosco about their own specific fields Batch 81 Cyber lounge Where students can access the internet for research purposes only (can be augmented to the DBTI library) ACTIVITIES Giving Back to Our Teachers Creation of, or improvements on an existing teacher’s lounge: “Coffee Break Showcase” - Coffee maker (c/o Bong Lim) - Microwave - Plates and Cups - Coffee

8 Suggested Activities for Jan 21, 2006 Staying Alive…The Celebration! More than just the eating and the drinking… Staying Alive is about the dreams we’ve fulfilled and the people who’ve helped us fulfill them. EVENT EXECUTION

9 Guests will be encouraged to come in their best 80’s attire in accordance with our theme Decorations used at the venue will be predominantly silver in color There will be concessionaires for drinks and finger food / “pulutan” Before the program proper, mass will be held at the venue already EVENT EXECUTION

10 Opening Production Number (Staying Alive) – involves some members of Batch 81 Video Tribute to Teachers – with class photos from their HS days EXECUTION - PROGRAM

11 Serenade to Teachers – song number from members of Batch ’81 AVP of all the activities leading to the night of the celebration Formal Declaration of the Batch 81 Scholarship Fund EXECUTION - PROGRAM

12 Dance Showdown – Music choices have to be from artists of the late 70’s and early 80’s. If we have 2 teams, they will be called CRISPA & TOYOTA Fun Awards :  Best in Costume  John Travolta- look-alike  Early Bird  Best Dancer  Winner of the Dance Showdown EXECUTION - PROGRAM
