7 January 26, 2007 State Alliance for e-Health 2006 Health IT Accomplishments AHIC – American Health Information Community  7 Meetings completed in FY 06; 450 person hours; supported by approximately 45 work group meetings throughout the year.  First annual adoption survey report published  Clinical Decision Support Roadmap developed  New regulations creating exceptions and safe harbors to federal fraud and abuse laws to help physicians obtain automated systems  Executive Order To Help Increase The Transparency of America's Health Care System- Empowering Americans To Find Better Value And Better Care HITSP – Health IT Standards Panel  Delivered 1 st set of Interoperability Standards in October 2006 for First 3 Use Cases. Includes 30 standards and over 800 pages of interoperability guidelines.  Use Case Development  Establishing a process for identifying, adopting, & stimulating standards CCHIT– Certification Commission for Health IT  Early Fall, 2006 first set of certified ambulatory EHRS released  Expanded to 35 Electronic Health Record systems certified to date
