1 Making Graphs using Fathom Bar graphs and dot plots Histograms Box and Whisker plots

2 Select all the data. Click on Edit and select Copy.

3 Open Fathom and select New Collection.

4 Drag Collection 1 to the document. The frame indicates it is active.

5 Select Edit and click on Paste Cases.

6 The data is in Collection 1. Double click on Collection 1 to Inspect Collection 1. Use the arrow to see more cases.

7 Drag a New Case Table to the document.

8 Adjust the size by grabbing an edge.

9 Drag a New Graph to the document.

10 Click on playsport and drag to the horizontal axis. Release.

11 To reorder the categories, grab and move “10 or more hours”

12 Select a New Graph and drag Height(cm) to the horizontal axis. A Dot Plot will appear. Each dot represents a person. Click on the arrow.

13 Select Histogram.

14 Change the axes by moving the hand. Change the bin width by moving the double headed arrow.

15 To change the scale on the y-axis: Click Graph, select Scale and Density.

16 The scale on the y-axis is Density.

17 To Plot information on the graph, click on Graph and select Plot Value.

18 Select Functions, Statistical, One Attribute.

19 Double click on mean; click on Apply and OK.

20 The mean is plotted and its value indicated on the graph.

21 Drag a Summary Table to your document. Drag playsport to and Gender to.

22 To insert a graph into a document, select the graph, click on Edit and select Copy Picture.

23 Crop and resize the graph.
