2. 16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:16-20

3. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the L ORD : though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: Isaiah 1:16-20

4. 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the L ORD hath spoken it. Isaiah 1:16-20

5. This passage of scripture points to Redemption! (Ultimately to the Cross of Calvary) God yearns for His people (us) to do what is right God promises to make a way Our response MUST be obedience God Cries Out For Redemption!

6. 1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Isaiah 58:1-3

7. 2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God. Isaiah 58:1-3

8. 3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours. Isaiah 58:1-3

9. Once again (like today) we find God’s people crying out to God as if they are in right relationship God points out that they are not! Open Your Eyes — Don’t Deceive Yourselves!

10. James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Be Doers! Be True! Don’t Be Deceived!

11. 12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 2 Peter 2:12-22

12. 13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 2 Peter 2:12-22

13. 14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 2 Peter 2:12-22

14. 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet. 2 Peter 2:12-22

15. 17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 2 Peter 2:12-22

16. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 2 Peter 2:12-22

17. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 2 Peter 2:12-22

18. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 2 Peter 2:12-22

19. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2 Peter 2:12-22

20. 22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. 2 Peter 2:12-22

21. 1 John 2:1-4 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Christ IS our Advocate!

22. 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Christ IS our Advocate!

23. ADVOCATE = παράκλητος paraklētos par-ak'-lay-tos An intercessor, consoler: - advocate, comforter.

24. 1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; 2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars Revelation 2:1-5

25. 3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. Revelation 2:1-5

26. We must be born-again, and allow the nature of Christ to compel us to His righteousness We must study the Word of God (daily) and seek to know God more Life Application

27. We must repent, be washed and continue growing in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ— being doers of the Word--falling in love with Him daily. Life Application
