3. Baptism of the Holy Spirit There is much debate over the Holy Spirit and what He does Remember that baptism means “immersion” This happened on the Day of Pentecost – Acts 2:1-4 And to Cornelius and his household – Acts 10:44-48 It gave wondrous gifts and powers, but was not taught or commanded

4. Baptism Necessary for Salvation For those who understand and believe – Acts 2:38, 8:35-36, 22:12-16 It brings one into contact with the blood of Christ, which washes away sins It is a new start to a new life – Rom. 6:1-4 Different from any to come before, and far more powerful!

5. Conclusion Many speak about baptism and act as though everything that calls itself baptism is the same. But these are what the Bible describes as baptisms, and clearly, only one is still applicable for us today. Be baptized in the name of Jesus, and start your new life with Him!
