15 Discover Award Scheme Boys take active role in planning the activity programme Develop interests Learn new skills Acquire a deeper knowledge of life, the world and other people Seniors are eligible to take part and achieve awards

16 Discover Badges CommunityRecreation Skills Three programme zones: Each Badge has 4 Levels of achievement Each Level is achieved by earning points

19 Higher Awards 30 points +3 badges in last 12 months Adventure Event Good attendance record 10 hours of Brigade Service Leadership and Teamwork Course Christian Faith Development Course Captain’s Recommendation The President’s Badge

20 Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme Counts as: 30 points +3 badges in last 12 months Adventure Event DEA Bronze Award Boys’ Brigade has a strong association with DEA Scheme Company Section members can work for the DEA Bronze Award and this will count towards the Discovery & President’s Badge

28 Challenge Plus Successful Challenge = 1 point Three programme zones: Successful Project = 5 points Community Life Skills Recreation & Leisure Seniors undertake in-depth Projects and Challenge Activities which they plan and organise themselves

29 Challenge Plus Awards Challenge Plus Bronze Badge requires 10 points Challenge Plus Silver Badge requires 20 points Challenge Plus Gold Badge requires 30 points

30 Young Volunteer Award Bronze Award – 50 hours Silver Award – 100 hours Gold Award – 200 hours Voluntary work may count towards BB’s highest award… Seniors can take on volunteer work in their Community and have this recognised by three levels of achievement:

31 The Queen’s Badge Must hold The President’s Badge Attend a Queen’s Badge Candidates’ Conference Participate in Skills based training 30 hours of Brigade responsibility 30 hours of Voluntary Support work Undertake a 3 day Expedition Develop interests Participate in a Completion Course BB’s highest award:
