4 What are Life Skills?? “Abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. 8 Connectedness  At baseline 62% reported neither in being in school or  Over course of the program this dropped to 25%  83% who had become connected, stayed connected  The 17% who did not stay connected said they were too busy looking for work  There was a noted decrease in the percentage of youth involved in sports, religious or civic groups most crediting it to being too busy with school or work
