2. Labour Party Ideology
Considered to be more left than both the Conservative Party and Liberal Democrat Party(ranges from Socialism to social democrat)
Gained its socialist commitment from its initial constitution of 1918; the party’s strongest advocates for the socialist commitment believed in the “common wealth” of the “means of production, distribution and exchange.”
Historically, believed in the redistribution of wealth and government playing a large role in the economy; taxes seen as a means of redistributing wealth. Also, the party, like most parties in the United Kingdom’s government, promote a welfare state and government funded healthcare
But the party adopted free market policies after 1980s, and these policies were reinforced by former Prime Minister Tony Blair

Propose a budget before the House of Commons every year to cut the deficit
