3 Prevention of Unplanned Pregnancy Project Project Overview Larimer County Department of Human Services allocates TANF dollars to the Larimer County Department of Health for : Family planning program outreach, education, and for the purchase of highly effective (and often expensive) contraceptives. Each public $1.00 to provide family planning services saves $3.80 for pregnancy related services and newborn care-most of which would be paid for by Medicaid.
